Katherine's Graham Mango Float (bread edition)

Ingredients
2cans Condensed Milk
1pack All Purpose Creme
2cups Fresh Milk
7pcs Ripped Mangoes
1pack Crashed Gramhan
1pack Sliced Bread
1. Cut the sides/edges of each Bread. Slice Mangoes thinly.
2. In a large bowl mix Condensed Milk, Fresh Milk and All Purpose Creme well.
3. Place Sliced Breads evenly in your choice of dish storage, (reminder this recipe needs to be kept frozen, so a breakable cook/glassware is highly recommended).
4. Pour in Cream Mixture on top, making sure that each space is covered.
5. Add in Sliced Mangoes and another set of Bread on top (we're trying to create layers). Pour Cream Mixture and Sliced Mangoes.
6. Spread Crashed Graham evenly on top as if creating an icing on a cake.
Finish Product

This is by far the easiest frozen delight I've ever learned in my entire life. In every - most Filipino household, there is NONE who doesn't know how to make a Mango Float. Now, this recipe on the other hand comes with a twist because we're using SLICED BREADS instead of Graham Crackers for layers - making it more budget friendly and have to admit, the taste is totally the same but this one is more ice creamy than the traditional Mango Float.

Anyhow, I really had fun watching my good friend Kathy make this, look at how thinly she sliced the mangoes - so REFINED! I'm not a dessert person and I don't even know how to present cakes and other sweet treats the way I present main courses but maybe I should try making some :D

Hope you enjoyed this simple yet heart watering treat :)

Krazy Garlik

Whilst visiting Manila last January, I had the chance to dine at a new restaurant in Greenbelt 5 - Krazy Garlik. That of course is courtesy of our good friend Lulu and her life partner Martin (thank you!) This is obviously an uber late post and I'm starting it off with some photos taken with them. Luckily, Angel and her husband Don was also in Manila during that time - killing while spending their time as they waited for their flight going to Taiwan for a short vacation.
The host Lulu and her wacky pose :)
With the ladies. Moi, Lulu, Angel and Chloe.
Couples from Davao - Angel and Don.
Chloe who joined in before heading to her work. She works in one of the BPO companies in Shaw Boulevard.

OK, I haven't heard of Krazy Garlik and from the name itself - most of the dishes were spiced - decorated - cooked with garlic which unfortunately is one of my mortal "fresh breath" enemy but I love garlic and when I'm at home cooking - it is a MUST but when I'm outside, dining - I'd rather stay away - for the very obvious reason :D

Garlic and Anchovy Affection: A totally yummy appetiser. I love anchovies and I love french breads with butter on it - SO. It was good.
Korean Style Garlic Sesame Beef * Garlicky Crispy Pata * The rice (I don't know the name) They already ordered when we came, so I wasn't able to get a glimpse of the menu but based on these courses that we ate, I can totally say they were all good, specially the beef thingy.

I would definitely be going back there when I visit Manila again and try out their other dishes on the menu. They have so many choices and I think all of them are good and as I'm writing this, I am seriously dying to go to the kitchen and cook but can't.

For more informations, try checking their website: http://www.krazygarlik.com.ph/index.html

Closing this post with some wacky - not achieved pose with my friends :) 'Til next eating session :)

Heaven & Eggs with Friends

Had always passed by this area each time we go to Glorietta but never had the opportunity to dine in until my Manila based friends Lulu and Clu suggested that we meet and have breakfast at Heaven & Eggs...

And I couldn't be more happier when we did :)
Dory Fish with vegetables
The famous Danngit of Cebu :) Obviously they are small dried fish which are cooked fried to perfection :)
Longganisa with rice and egg.

Heaven & Eggs is basically known for their great tasting breakfast set meals. And must admit - they are fine dining for breakfast because of the prices but it was worth the price and the presentation and preparations were all good. Not to mention the location.

Apart from ala carte, they also have breakfast buffet but I don't think it was very wise to dig in their buffet. They don't only offer Filipino Breakfast but they also offer other continental breakfast sets for those who doesn't like having rice for their first meal of the day.

For more inquiries, you can check out their facebook page:  http://www.facebook.com/heavenandeggsg4

Some wacky portraits with my good friends :)

Oh! How much I've missed them. Clu is based in Manila because of work. I still see her each time she goes back home for a short vacation to visit her family. Lulu on the other hand - this is my first time seeing her after almost 12 years. She's based in Manila with her love and baby girl. :)

Starbucks // Handuraw

Currently Listening To: The Scientist by Danny Lohner & Johnetter Napolita

So dear ole friend Clu came back home last weekend and we gathered the troop for a little bonding session over coffee and doughnuts. Clu has been living in Manila for almost 5 years now. She's a college classmate and close friend. The official driver of our group since college because she's the only one who owned a car back then.:)

I've been friends with these ladies for 11 years. They are what I call family away from home. The only people who knows what I've been through in life and love life. In this photo sets, some are still not here. Jaqi is in London, Veena in India and Eunice in Australia.
Clutotz who indeed bought 2 boxes of Krispy Kreme when we met her.:) Thanks love!:)
Monica & Cindy
I know the blog looked like a photo blog instead but I haven't seen two of them for a year and it made me so happy to finally have seen them. Whenever someone comes back home from somewhere, I always try to organized a get together. At the back on my mind, I have this thing that we all should hang out while we're still able to do it, while we're still single because once we get older and get married and have a family respectively, get togethers such as this will be so difficult.

I am thankful that 'twas a success last Sunday. Usually when it doesn't come as planned, I give some of them cold shoulders, not because I hate them but because I care about the friendship that we shared. I've been friends with them for 11 years and they have all seen me matured, I supposed. They've seen me in my worst and best. They've seen me fall hard and fall out hard and in spite it all they still love me. They are the only group of people I know, whom I always say foul words when I'm with. Like nonstop which is weird but I am thankful that they never judge me.

We rarely see each other and we are not complete on this day. Two of us are married and three have kids. I'd say time flies by too fast but we're still the same as 11 years ago. Just got older because of the experiences but the laughters and crazy recollection of crazy things we did before are still as fresh as a wine that never got old with time.

They are my sisters. My family.  And I will forever love them. I may give some of them cold shoulders once in a while but they will forever remain warm in my heart. I wonder who will get married next or who will have a child. The question seems silly but I always look forward to the next in line.:)

Photos of the pizza in Handuraw.
Handuraw Pizza. Yeah, I know... I can see the meat in it but I didn't eat those.:) Yummy pizza I must say, thin crust which is healthier compared to the regular thick crust.:)
OK! I forgot the name of this one but this was the vegetarian thing I guess. Also good.:)
Handuraw is located at Gorordo Avenue near UP Cebu and they specialized on Pizza and they also have live bands usually on Saturdays and weekdays, I think. People come here to eat and drink.:) Their beers are just fantastic. Frozen to perfection which makes it really good for drinking.:)

Happy Birthday Eunice!

Happy Happy Happy Birthday!:)
Today is a special day for one of my special girl. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNYS!:)

So, we went to their place for a solemn party with Japanese theme. OMG! Sushi overload!:)
I had two rounds. Oh no! But it's all cool. 'Twas yummy!

Everyone was present except for some who were busy with work and are not in the country as of now.
Overall it was fun except for the over humid weather in this city. I had to change costume but it was worth it. Laughing and catching up with them was worth it. I love you my Bayoots!

Thanks Eunice! Love you!:)
