Brique

Finally, after months of wanting to try out Brique, I had the chance to try out their dishes and it didn't fail me at all. Located at the Garden Rooftop of Ayala Center Cebu lies this resto/cafe that offers exciting platters that's sure to satisfy anyone's graving and the place is cozy too :)
Spinach Gorgonzola Dip, to die for. I like the salty taste which lingers to your mouth after every bite. If you're on a diet - you'll do good with this starter.
Sunrise, orange and lemon fresh juice.
Hungarian Sausage, the very traditional served mashed potato on the side - gives you that European vibe.
Lamb Adobo, surprisingly good.  I love the plate presentation for this one. Love the garlic topping, I think it's very creative. The rice was fried well and the lamb was nom! It's a MUST TRY.
Island Breeze, banana watermelon mint leaves smoothie. Taste really good but have to say it's better paired with brunch dishes :)
Eggplant Fries with Anchovy Aioli Dip, I'm seeing eggplant in a whole new level on this one. Probably the most satisfyingly healthy substitute for regular fries. The dipping was absolutely tasty. It's a MUST TRY.
Mizo Glazed Salmon, topped with gorgeous onion rings. I'd say this is hotel like dish and presentation. It tasted so good and the Salmon was cooked perfectly. It's a MUST TRY.

All in all, it was a great experience. I love the dishes that we had and I'm looking forward to dining back. Price wise, it's worth it. I like the ambiance but have to say, it does get crowded on weekends, which I would suggest going in upon opening or make some reservations to avoid waiting. Lava by Fudge (SM City Seaside)

I have been a fan of Lava by Fudge for some time now. I like their cafe settings, their friendly service crew and their cakes - let me just say it this way - I love all the dishes that they serve. They're known for their Lava Cakes but there's more to their specialty and with every bite - I assure you it's really good.
Quesadillas, I love how it was grilled and presented. The dough was textured perfectly as well as the sauce.
Chili Fries, this is a personally favourite. I'm a lover of potatoes and this one right there is amazingly good. I love the chili con carne sauce and the melting cheese topped on real baked/fried potatoes. It's a MUST TRY for me.
Cheesecake, the choices for cakes are endless. If you want chocolate all the way - they have it or if you prefer the neutral looking colours of plain ones - they also have it.
Original Lava Cake, it never gets old. It's like eating it for the first time even though you've been digging it for more than a year. It also comes in other flavours but I prefer this one.

I love my Lava by Fudge experience everything. Their coffees are well blended as well. It's like a hotel mixture with a flare. Apart from the dishes that I posted, don't forget to try out their Lasagna which is meaty and cheesy in one, Tuna Bagel for the health conscious, Pasta Carbonara for the pasta lovers like me, the Chicken Curry Pie which is bursting with good flavours and all those other dishes in their menu which I think I've tried mostly but have not photographed. Price is average and ambiance is really good. For more check out their Facebook page via https://web.facebook.com/Fudge-Restaurant-131552172809/

PS for Christmas, also look out for their Fruit Cake. They have branches at Ayala Center Cebu, Banilad, SM City Cebu and SM City Seaside and to which ever branch you choose, be assured that you'll be greeted by friendly staff.<3 p="">

Gusto Mare

A few months ago, I've written an entry about Gusto Urban Cafe + Wine Bar and had mentioned a whole loads of good stuff because they're serving really good stuff. The cafe that I blogged about is at the heart of the Cebu and now we're heading down south - SRP for their other branch - Gusto Mare. I've never been into a beach themed restaurant before and have to admit - the interiors, views, vibes and food was fantastic.
*They have a small function area for goods who prefers a little private hang out chill.
Caramel Cheesecake, talk about putting cheesecake into a whole new level. The taste was authentically different from the usual cheesecakes we're used to - the caramel taste gives it an extra boast of caffeine like texture.
*The decors heading to the restroom til the toilet itself was beautiful. It had that home vibe by the beach which I'm pretty sure a lot of people envied and would want for their own place.
Scaloppine, is a thinly sliced pork with coating paired with rice (placed in a funky dish ware) - and I have to say, it was super delish.
*The hanging lights were made from steel buckets, it was very DIY feels and it looks really cute.
*The cake corner was lined with sweets treats, to which people like me would end up drooling. I also tried their Chocolate Eclair and it was yummy.
Ravioli, it is by far my favourite pasta from a local restaurant here in Cebu. The authenticity of the flavours was great and how the pasta was made was perfection. It's got the Italian vibe.
*The view is spectacular, specially during day time.  I suggest people should drop by during lunch or past lunch and have the option to stay indoor or outdoor to see such view.
Pesce Alforno, is baked whole Lapu-lapu fish topped with mashed potatoes and paired with rice and again, it is delicious. Perfectly baked and the rice is also seasoned well.

All in all, I love the Gusto Mare experience. By far in both branches, I couldn't complain on anything. Everything is neat, the food is great, the servers are fantastic and the place is superbly decorated in a very relax way. Price is a bit pricey on certain dishes and on some bottles of wines but it's worth every penny. I highly recommend checking out any of their branches around Cebu for that laid back, intimate experience after a day's work or on weekends with love ones.

Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe

There's a new Breakfast Club and Cafe in town and it's one of the neatest and inviting cafe I've been into - Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe offers more than just coffee and breakfast meals. It offers an ambiance of home with good music and interiors.<3 p="">
Eggs Benedict, really good eggs benny and the sauce was delish. Hotel like quality if I may say.
Green Tea Latte
French Toast, with fruits that taste so good - feels like home.
Beef Tapa, rice was good and the beef was perfection.
Salmon Silog, so good and good and good.<3 font="">

Overall, it was really a good experience. Their place is located at Axis Building Escario and it opens at 7a. Price ranges from 35php to 360php. Plus, they have the quirkiest restroom I've seen. For more, please check their Facebook page https://web.facebook.com/BirdseedBreakfastClub/

Stuffed Bell Peppers

A few years ago, I got to taste a very interesting dish that was made by my friend's mother. It was Stuffed Bell Peppers (rice, beef and spices). I thought it was a clever recipe and an easy one. Being Asian, it felt like I was somewhere in the Mediterranean. Since, we're having a long weekend and I don't have much to do, I've decided to give it a go and make my own version of it. It taste as a good and I'm proud of it. Here are the steps and what you need to make your own Stuffed Bell Peppers.

You will need:
2 Large Bell Peppers
3 Cups Hot Water
1 Cup Ground Beef
2 Tomatoes (Cubed)
1 Onions (Cubed)
1 Tbsp Crashed Garlic
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
1 Tbsp Ricotta Cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
4 Tbsp Couscous
1 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Mixed Vegetbales (optional)
Dash of Salt and Black Pepper
Dash of Tarragon

Preheat oven at 300 degrees C
1. In a medium pan, Sautee Beef, Onions, Garlic and season with Salt and Black Pepper. Once Beef is brown, add Tomatoes and Tomato Paste. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Pour 1 Cup of Water in cooking ware, add Mixed Vegetables and Couscous. Stir continuously when water starts to dry up, add Butter and mix. Simmer for a few minutes.
3. Mix Beef and Couscous together - this will serve as your stuffing.
4. Clean your Bell Peppers through running water. Make a hole at the center and take off seeds and even the bottom edge by slicing a thin layer. Soak in 2 Cups Boiling Water for 5 mins.
5. Once Bell Peppers are soft to the touch, stuff with Mixed Beef and Couscous. Place in bake ware and top with Choice of Cheese and Baked for 25 minutes.
Bon Appetite <3 p="">

Mismukuno Teppanyaki

Haven't written in a while but let me start my post for this year (which happens to be a late post from last year) with a food entry. Have passed by and had seen photos of FB friends dining in at this place but never had a chance until they opened at Ayala Center Cebu's new wing. Mismukuno Teppnayaki is everything that you imagine Japan to be like. And I love it.

The ambiance is really nice. I love the wall painting and the open kitchen where you get to see your order being cooked by the chefs and it also doesn't hurt that they dance once the Voltes Five song comes to life. It's a busy resto but it brings in the Japan vibe into it.

What I basically come back for again and again is the beef teppanyaki and sashimi. I think they're all too delicious for words. Price wise, it's average for a Japanese restaurant but the experience, service and food is something that's beyond average <3 p="">

Mismukuno Teppanyaki is located at the new wing of the Ayala Center Cebu for more details check out their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mismukunoteppanyaki If you wish to avoid the client rush dine in before or pass lunch time - same with dinner :)

Bangkok Thailand: Food Trip Edition

In every travel that I go to, I always make sure to try out dishes from whichever country or city it is that I am visiting. Thailand, is one of the many countries in Asia that is just so rich and diverse when it comes to flavours. The spices department is really nuts and I just love Tom Yum Goong - Tom Yum Goong - anytime of the day is just fabulous GOOD. Here are a few snaps and descriptions of what I basically tasted around. There are another specialities that I haven't tried cos it is quite different when you're travelling with your parents who are health/ hygiene conscious but nonetheless, I'd like to believed that I've covered what I needed for my taste buds this time around.

Sky Coffee Shop (Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel)

Hotel lobby dine in upon arrival with an ample view of what's in store outside the hotel. This is our second time staying at Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel and it's always a pleasure and full of nonstop convenience if I may say.
Thai Fried Rice, the usual fried that we order in most restaurants - only difference is that Thailand is one of the many countries that has rich rice soils that produces on of the best qualities there is :) The servings kind of reminded me from those in Saigon, Vietnam.
Japanese Ramen, good and really tasty.
Assorted Sashimi, fresh as a breeze.
Thai Pad Thai, ahhh! It's the best :)
Fresh Coco Juice

Fruit Buffet

Craving for seasoned fruits which are the freshest of the freshest? Or just simply going for that healthy lifestyle vibe then this lobby shop is catered to just FRUITS. And it's EAT ALL YOU CAN.

You can stay on this area for a maximum of 2 hours for 350baht. All sorts of seasoned fruits are available as well as these freshly squeezed juices and some dried fruits too. You can also opt for fruits salad mixes or ask their friendly staff to open new Durians for you. And oh did I mentioned, that they also have all sorts of sorbets and ice creams? :D NOM!

Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel is also known as a buffet hub for tourists and locals apart from being the tallest building with a revolving tower in Bangkok Thailand. For more details on room bookings and restaurant reservations, kindly click  http://baiyokesky.baiyokehotel.com/?utm_source=affilired and click on Dining :) You can also like their Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/baiyokeskyhotel?ref=ts&fref=ts

Street Food (Indra Area just outside Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel)

I'm telling you Bangkok Thailand is probably the only city in the world, where there is no excuse for getting hungry because you will never get hungry at all - most local vendors operates at 5 in the afternoon 'til early morning.

Now, if you want to morning the night by trying all the varieties of street food in Bangkok - this area in Indra just outside Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel is a major hub for street shopping (tiangge style) and street foods - even street cocktail bars are available. Just be cautious on some items that you want to eat. My favourites are the grilled fish (fresh as coco and just amazingly yummy). Prices are usually below 100baht but it all depends on the dish.

Platinum Food Court

On the topmost of a shopping center in Bangkok lies a food court with a style. Why I say so? Because you need to purchase a loaded card to be able to buy the different varieties of food from every stall. And I was actually reprimanded by one employee cos it was not allowed to take in photos but girls gotta take some snaps :)

You need to purchase these loaded cards to your load of choices from 200baht up and you can enter the area and start swiping it like you're shopping for a pair of hermes :D
Most dishes are purely Asian which ranges from Ramen, Noodles, Curries and these sweet treats. My personal favourite is this filled waffle, the fillings are of different choices ranging from durian, beans and so on. I actually love the Thai Cream filling :D

Seafood Thai Food

In one of our private guided tours, our guide took us to this home styled restaurant near the pier area which served fresh seafoods and I have to tell you, the dishes were all amazing.

Tom Yum Goong, like I said earlier I'm never gonna get tired of having this. I think in this travel, this was my 4th bowl of Tom Yum Goong. I kept having it dine in, in our hotel room :D But this one was superbly flavoured.
Four Kinds of Seafoods, ahhh Thailand is truly amazing when it comes to soup dishes.

Chicken Curry, apart from Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup, Thailand is known for their curries. And it is a must try in every restaurant that you'll dine in in Bangkok.
Crab Meat Fried Rice
Grilled Fish, they actually call it Barbecued Fish and dude, it's freaking boneless and grilled to perfection.
Fresh Orange Juice, one of the many reasons why I had an acne break out after the trip was this drink. I couldn't get enough of oranges. In every restaurant and street vendor, I went to, they all had the same exact same taste for their oranges which is just pure heave :)
Bottled water, in a really literally sense. I almost died upon realising that each bottle was individual sealed :D

If you happen to be on guided tour, you can ask your guide to take you to this place. It's usually packed during lunch by tourists and the place is just with limited seats, so it's always better to go with reservations or be there before lunch time or lunch time.

Grand Palace (Siam Paragon)

I have to tell you, Siam Paragon Food Court is just crazy crowded during night time but the varieties of semi expensive open restaurants in a food court setting caught me by surprised. Grand Palace is basically the only restaurant that I went into that serves a soup that's worth around 3000baht but of course we didn't take that :D

Orange Juice, again and again :D
Mushroom Soup, ahhh love it. Reminded me of a mushroom soup I've tried somewhere in Singapore.
Stir Fried Noodles, the shrimps were fresh but not so much a fan of the dish.
Dimsum Taro, really good. Almost the same taste as the ones here in Cebu.
Steamed Fish in Soy Sauce, amazingly spiced and cooked perfectly.
Prawn Salad, averagely good.

To sum up this experience, my favourite is the steamed fish in soy sauce. I think Chinese restaurants are the best when it comes to steaming dishes. I have to suggest going around Siam Paragon Food Court on non peak hours to really enjoy checking out everything. There's also this Indian Resto there, that I was dying to try but can't cos my parents are somewhat allergic to curry flavoured dishes :D

The Berkeley Dining Room (Berkeley Pratunam Hotel)

This would have to fall under fine private dining cos we were the only ones in their dining area that night :D But it was all cool, they still served up with the highest quality and I just love it. I love all the food.

Buffet Breakfast are usually held on this area in most days.
Bread and Butter, my favourite in any restaurant that I dine into.
Tom Yum Goong, amazing as always :)
Chicken Satay, the presentation kind of surprised me but it was flavoured right.
Margarita Pizza, as expected of a Margarita Pizza but I love their dough
Grilled Pork Chop
Chicken (it's an India Dish - I forgot the name), but it was just crazy yummy :)
Assorted Fruits
Grilled Fish

It was an amazing experience to dine with a little privacy and with your own butler but it was also a bit expensive but all worth it. For more details and for room bookings check www.theberkeleypratunam.com

Big C Supermarket

I think it has become my tradition to check out supermarkets when I travel. I obviously for Thailand, I have to check it out because of the assortments of spices and sauces that I know are readily available. And Big C didn't fail me on this. This was basically the closest to the hotels that I stayed to.

What surprised me was the assortment of fresh Tuna and Salmons on their fresh goods area. Just mouth watering. Then theres the flavoured rice, different spices and sauces. I wanted to shop everything but of course I didn't have enough spare money in my pocket hahaha so I just ended taking pictures :D

Silom Village (Airport Dining)
This is my last taste of Thailand for this travel and even in their airport dining - it didn't fail me at all. Talk about brining in the flavours from the street on the convenience of the airport waiting area. I am totally suggesting this stop when you're hungry while waiting for your flights. Their customers were mostly pilots and businessmen. :)

And that concludes my Food Trip for this travel. In all Asian countries, Thailand is my favourite because of the ambiance that it offers. I love the different food flavours, I love their love for Elephants and shopping and I love all their tourists attractions, especially the temples. And I love it there. Looking forward to coming back - hopefully with my better half. Hahaha One day :D 'Til next food trip! <3 p="">

Baked Dory Fish

Apart from Salmon - Dory is one of my many favourite seafoods dig. There's just something about it. The first time I tried a dish out of it was a few years back at Bubba Gump Manila. Never really thought I could find a frozen delight on the supermarket but I did last weekend and have to be thankful because finally I'm able to cooked it as I pleased and enjoy the taste :)
Ingredients

* Sliced Carrots (sliced it diagonally for some artsy look)
* Ringed Lemons (cut into two)
* Olives (you could also opt for the black ones, depends on your mood)
* Onions (rings)
* Broccoli (cooked separately by boiling)
* Spices (basil flakes, oregano flakes, black pepper, turmeric, minced garlic, dash of oil)

Procedure
* Clean your Dory Fish Fillet via running water and let dry.
* Placed in bake ware and placed all ingredients except for Broccoli (i decided to place the carrots underneath the fish just for experiment purposes)
* Sprinkle with spices and place in oven to baked for 30 minutes. Oven must be at 350.

Add Ons
Parsley
Dill
Basil Leaves
Tomato
Romaine Lettuce
Ranch Dressing
Finish Product :D Easy as 1 2 3 :D

Broken Beef Lasagna

I have been wanting to make a lasagna but I was always afraid to try it out until my Aunt from Sweden came for a visit and prepared one for her boyfriend. And last Thursday, my friends came over and I made one - it was good but I think it lacked sauce on the top most layer thus it came off a little dry (not sure if this should be the term but yeah, it looked like it).

So, I decided to recreate it earlier :)

Ingredients
2can Large Tomato Sauce /Spaghetti Sauce
1pack Lasagna Pasta
1pack All Purpose Cream
1can Sliced Mushrooms
3cups Ground Beef
2cups Regular Cheese (grated)
1/2cup Parmesan Cheese
2tbsp Butter
Gloves of Garlic (thinly chopped)
Onions (thinly cubes)
Tomatoes (cubes, optional)
A Pack of Singles Cheese (optional)
A Dash of Black Pepper
A Dash of Basil
A Dash of Oregano
A Dash of Thyme

Garnish (OPTIONAL)
Parsley
Olives
Blue Cheese
In making the sauce, it is the same procedure as making a spaghetti sauce that's why I didn't make a photo of it but here are the steps:
1. Sautee Garlic and Onions with Butter until lightly brown.
2. Add Beef, A Dash of Black Pepper, A Dash of Oregano, A Dash of Basil. Mix until Beef is Brown. Add Mushrooms.
3. Add in Grated Cheese. Add All Purpose Cream. Mix until Cheese melts.
4. Add in Tomatoes and simmer until tomatoes are soft.
5. Add Tomato Sauce. Stir and Mix. Simmer for 6 minutes.
6. Set aside.
1. In a bake ware, Layer Lasagna Pasta evenly.
2. Pour in Sauce and spread evenly making sure that the sauce poured isn't too thick.
3. Topped Sauce with Cheese, A Dash of Thyme and Parmesan Cheese.
4. Repeat procedure 1 to 3 (for this recipe I made it to three layers)
5. Once you've reached top most layer. Cover with enough sauce and top with parmesan cheese.
6. Bake to 360 degrees until pasta is soft.

Finish Product. Garnish with Olives, Blue Cheese and Thyme :)

PS Called it Broken Beef Lasagna because unlike other lasagnas served in restaurant this one was still too hot when I sliced it and it felt like the entire serving broke into pieces but one thing I learn a while back is to let it cool for a bit so that the sauce would sip into the pasta and would make it hold :D

Enjoy cooking and eating! Happy weekend :)

Nikka's Version of a Beef Pho

Ingredients
Rice Noodles
Beef Tenderloin (choice of sliced meat)
8cups Water
3cubes Knorr Beef Cubes
Dash of Black Pepper
Dash of Lea & Perrins (optional, regular soy sauce)
Rosemary Leaves
Bean Sprouts
Red Bell Pepper (optional, regular chilli)
Mint Leaves (optional)
Onions (sliced, optional)
Red Chilli Paste
Onion Stalks (sliced)
Parsley Leaves
Lemon
Egg (optional)

*PS I forgot to slice some onions for this recipe but it should be there. Also I'm only using the ingredients that I got from the groceries. The greens are replacement for the greens that are on the traditional Vietnamese Pho :)
1. Rice Noodles, 1 Knorr Beef Cube, 4 Cups of Water.
*this is the only rice noodles that I saw on the store. it's a wide noodle which is usually used for Thai's Pad Thai.
2. Pour 4 Cups of Water on a Cooking Ware, Add in 1 Knorr Beef Cube and Rice Noodles. Bring to boil or until noodles are cook.
3. Drained excess water and set noodles aside.
1. Lea & Perrins, Rosemary Leaves, 2 & 1/2 Knorr Beef Cubes, 4 Cups Water, Black Pepper and Beef.
*originally I intended to use just a cube and a half of Knorr thingy but when I tasted my soup, it was blunt so I made it to 2.5 :D
2. Pour in water and beef cubes. Slightly boil.
3. Add in beef and dash of black pepper. Bring to boil until meat is tender and cook.
4. Make sure to take off bubbles from your soup.
Prepare all ingredients and be ready to customised your own Pho :)
Finish Product

This recipe is a real experiment. I'm always scared to try making Pho. It's so easy to make, I've tried making one before in Saigon but it feels strange when all the ingredients needed for it aren't at hand. As I'm writing this, I feel so chicken shiz. :D But the taste is superb and I'm not saying it because I made it but because I perfected the soup.

To be honest, I was having second thoughts making this today, a lot of things were swirling into my head but I've posted on FB that I'll be making it and since I'm always true to my words, here it is. I added in the egg because I seriously love having it on noodle soups.

Ahh looking and savouring the taste of my own Pho version is putting some huge smile on my face after an excruciating long hot boring day. :D

Enjoy eating :)

PS Don't put in the egg whites on the soup - just the yolk - yellow thing :)

Spicy Korean Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients
Korean Instant Noodles
1pc Boiled Egg
2cups Water
1cup Left Over Chickens (or freshly cook choice of meat)
1/2cup Mixed Vegetables
1/2cup Boiled Shrimps (optional)
1cup Parsley (chopped)
1pc Onions (thinly sliced)
1pc Tomato (cut into 4)
3pcs Garlic (crashed)
1tbsp Oil
1tbsp Shrimp Paste
1tbsp Tomato Pesto
1tbsp Sriracha Hot Sauce
Dash of Lea & Perrins
Dash of Black Pepper
Dash of Basil
Dash of Oregano

Cooking Time: 6 Minutes

Garnish
Dash of Thyme
Kimchi (optional)
Onion Stalks
1. In a cooking ware: Pour water, Mixed vegetables, Onions, Garlic, Oil and Dash of black pepper. Mix and simmer for a few seconds.
2. Add in Chicken, tbsp of Shrimp paste, tbsp of Tomato pesto, Dash of oregano, Dash of basil. Mix and simmer for a few seconds.
3. Add Sliced tomatoes
4. Add Noodle powder (came with the noodles cup), Dash of Lea & Perrins, tbsp of Sriracha Hot Sauce.
5. Add instant noodles. Simmer for a few minutes until noodles are soft.
6. Add in Parsley and Onions stalks. Simmer for a few seconds.
Finish off by adding set aside chicken pieces on top, boiled egg, some onion stalks and for this one, I added a piece of Kimchi then some Korean pepper paste.
The first serving that I made a week ago.

PS Don't add in the entire chicken bits on the soup, save some for garnish.

I know that for this very simple dish, I added in so many ingredients but that is why I call it an experiment. I am into spices. For me it is important to have a flavourful experience as you eat or as one eats because it keeps one guessing on what that taste might be.

Anyhow, if you noticed - I kept saying a few seconds on the procedures, mainly because we all know how to make or prepare instant noodles and it really cooks within seconds, so the key is to make sure that the noodles aren't over cooked. I suggest just let it simmer for a minute then it's good to go.

PS Broccoli and Shrimps were boiled with no added spices. Salad was the Potato Salad that I made a few days ago.

I'm not good when it comes to using ovens. But this particular dish was something that I learned while I was staying with my Aunt in Sweden. They usually like baking/ oven cooking their food than frying and I do understand why because too much fried food is unhealthy and so I'm trying to remember how she prepared baked salmon and chicken. And since today is no meat day for us Catholics - it was a great idea to be making this.

Lately, I've been posting foodie stuff on here - well, it's too obvious that I've been bored and had been trying to practice the skills that I thought I wasn't capable of some 9 years ago but here I am, I am able to prepare dishes that looks fantastic and at some point taste fantastic (not diggin' sure but bet it's really good).

I hope one day, I can invite friends over and cook some of these platter meals to them. It'd be fun. So, enjoy and I hope that this recipe helped. And PS, I really like the red bell pepper thing. Been hooked to it since I tried it in Manila a few months ago.

Krazy Garlik

Whilst visiting Manila last January, I had the chance to dine at a new restaurant in Greenbelt 5 - Krazy Garlik. That of course is courtesy of our good friend Lulu and her life partner Martin (thank you!) This is obviously an uber late post and I'm starting it off with some photos taken with them. Luckily, Angel and her husband Don was also in Manila during that time - killing while spending their time as they waited for their flight going to Taiwan for a short vacation.
The host Lulu and her wacky pose :)
With the ladies. Moi, Lulu, Angel and Chloe.
Couples from Davao - Angel and Don.
Chloe who joined in before heading to her work. She works in one of the BPO companies in Shaw Boulevard.

OK, I haven't heard of Krazy Garlik and from the name itself - most of the dishes were spiced - decorated - cooked with garlic which unfortunately is one of my mortal "fresh breath" enemy but I love garlic and when I'm at home cooking - it is a MUST but when I'm outside, dining - I'd rather stay away - for the very obvious reason :D

Garlic and Anchovy Affection: A totally yummy appetiser. I love anchovies and I love french breads with butter on it - SO. It was good.
Korean Style Garlic Sesame Beef * Garlicky Crispy Pata * The rice (I don't know the name) They already ordered when we came, so I wasn't able to get a glimpse of the menu but based on these courses that we ate, I can totally say they were all good, specially the beef thingy.

I would definitely be going back there when I visit Manila again and try out their other dishes on the menu. They have so many choices and I think all of them are good and as I'm writing this, I am seriously dying to go to the kitchen and cook but can't.

For more informations, try checking their website: http://www.krazygarlik.com.ph/index.html

Closing this post with some wacky - not achieved pose with my friends :) 'Til next eating session :)
